Metal Detecting Permissions in Wales
Metal Detecting Passport (MDP) helps metal detectorists access exclusive metal detecting permissions across East, South, Mid and West Wales.
Finding suitable land to detect can be one of the biggest challenges in the hobby. MDP works to source permissions and make opportunities available to its members, helping you spend more time detecting and less time searching for places to go.
Metal detecting permissions across Wales
Our permissions cover areas of East, South, Mid and West Wales, with locations and opportunities developing as the club grows. The land available and the arrangements for each permission can vary, so members should check the current details and availability before arranging a visit.
How MDP membership works
Annual membership is £55. Membership gives you access to MDP's member permission opportunities, subject to the individual landowner's conditions and availability.
The daily permission fee is £12.50 per detecting visit. The number of detectorists permitted on a site each day varies depending on the permission and the landowner's requirements. Please follow the booking and access instructions provided for each site.
